I have not fully decided on the specifics of my Daydream video project but I have narrowed things down to a couple of options that interest me. I want the video to start by documenting some normal day to day activities, such as getting ready in the morning, walking along the street, or hanging out with friends. I want this mundane sequence to be interrupted by a big event, something that will act as a catalyst for the out of body experience. This could be getting hit by a car, ingesting substances, or simply falling asleep. I then want to use a metaphor of types to transition into the animation, something that symbolizes a change or transition, such as a door, opening/closing eyes, a cocoon, or the breaking of some threshold. At this point the dream-state is entered which will be made clear through a variety of visual and audio effects. During this time I plan on using more vibrant colors, swirling and melting of shapes, and altered proportions to portray this dream state. I want the dream to start off seemingly positive and upbeat, at one point this will change to a much more imposing and scary environment. Finally I want the dream to reach a dramatic climax when the main character is facing peril before coming back to reality at the last moment.
